Oração Eucaristica II
C .: The Lord be with you.
T .: He is in our midst.
C .: Lift up your hearts.
T .: Our heart is in God.
C .: Give thanks to the Lord our God.
T .: It is our duty and our salvation.
C .: Indeed, it is fair and necessary, it is our duty and give thanks unto salvation, always and everywhere, Lord, holy Father, almighty and eternal God, through Christ our Lord. He is your living Word, in which all have created. He is our savior and redeemer, true man, conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He, to fulfill your will and gather a holy people in your praise, extended his arms at the time of his passion to conquer death and manifest the resurrection. For him the angels celebrate your greatness and the saints proclaim your glory. Grant also to us to associate us with his praises, singing (saying) with one voice:
T.: Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God of the universe! Heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!
C .: Actually, Father, you are holy, source of all holiness. Sanctify therefore these offerings, pouring over them your Spirit, so that they become for us the Body and Blood of the † Jesus Christ, your Son and our Lord.
T .: Sanctify our offering, O Lord!
C .: Standing to be delivered and freely embracing passion, he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave to his disciples.
( Nesse momento ergue-se a hóstia magna sem consagrar; abaixá-a e faz uma breve genuflexão. )
C .: Likewise, after supper he took the cup in his hands, again giving thanks he gave it to his disciples.
( Nesse momento ergue-se o cálice com vinho; abaixa-o e faz uma breve genuflexão. )
C .: Behold the mystery of faith!
T .: Each time we eat this bread and drink this cup, we proclaim, Lord, your death, we await your coming!
C .: Celebrating therefore the memory of the death and resurrection of your Son, we offer you, Father, the bread of life and the cup of salvation. and thank you for we have become worthy to be here in your presence and you servir.E we beseech you that participating in the Body and Blood of Christ be brought together by the Holy Spirit into one body. Remember also the (other) brothers and sisters who died in the hope of resurrection and all who departed this life: welcome them along with you in light of your face. Finally, we ask you, have mercy on us all and give us part of eternal life, with the Virgin Mary, mother of God, with the holy apostles and all who have served you in this world in order to praise and glorify you by Jesus Christ, your Son.
T.: Grant us the fellowship of the elect!
C .: Through Christ, with Christ, in Christ, to you, all powerful God the Father, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all honor and glory, now and forever.
T.: Amen.
